Library


Libraries are essential institutions that provide access to knowledge through books, digital resources, and various services. They serve as community hubs for learning, research, and cultural enrichment. Libraries offer a diverse range of materials and programs to meet the needs and interests of their patrons. College libraries now also offer digital resources such as e-books, online databases, and internet access, making information even more accessible to people around the world.

Library Rules

  • Books will be issued to the students on production of the Library Card.
  • In order to avoid any misuse of the card, a student should report to the Librarian in case it is lost or misplaced. A duplicate card will be issued on a payment of Rs. 50/-.
  • Students can borrow two books at a time.
  • Books shall be issued to the students for not more than four days. A fine of Rs 1/- per day shall be charged after the due date.
  • Rare books, journals, current periodicals can be consulted only within the college library.
  • Books lost/misplaced shall have to be replaced by the borrower failing which double the cost of books shall be charged.
  • Students are supposed to observe complete silence in the library.

Hostel


Trikuta College of Education, a part of the Sain Charitable Trust for Higher Education and Research, promises its students the best possible hostel facilities.

Our hostel has always been a home away from home for our students, providing a safe and supportive environment where they can thrive both academically and personally. Over the past year, we have worked diligently to enhance our hostel facilities to better meet the needs of our students. From upgraded amenities to improved security measures, we have prioritized creating a comfortable and conducive living space for all residents. Additionally, we have implemented various initiatives to promote community-building and student well-being within the hostel. From organizing social events to providing counselling services, our goal is to ensure that every student feels supported and valued throughout their stay.

As we look ahead, we remain committed to continually improving our hostel facilities and services to best serve the needs of our students.

There is a separate hostel facility for male and female candidates. The hostel has a well-staffed and modernized mess with a spacious dining hall offering ample seating for the residents. Facilities for indoor games are also available. The hostel operates under the supervision of the first lady of the trust, Mrs. Suman Sharma, and the warden, Mrs. Anjali.

Hostel Rules

  • No student shall leave the hostel for the night, to be with her relative (in Jammu) without the permission of the hostel authorities.
  • No student shall leave the hostel to live temporarily elsewhere.
  • Students going out of hostel shall have to go in groups of not less than 4, only once or twice a week with the prior permission of the Resident Warden.
  • Prior permission shall be obtained from the hostel authorities before leaving the station. No student can go to her home town without the approval of the hostel authorities.
  • No hosteller will remain absent from the teaching classes without informing the hostel authorities. Leave to the hostellers will only be sanctioned when recommended by the hostel authority.
  • No visitor will be allowed except father and mother, a local guardian authorized by the parents of students. No guardian will be permitted to stay in the hostel. No visitor is allowed to enter the hostel. Parents/guardians are allowed to meet their wards in the guest room.
  • Hostel authorities can search the room of the hostellers at any time without any prior intimation.
  • In case of illness of any inmate, it is the duty of the hostel representative to report the matter to the hostel authorities.
  • Misconduct/disobedience to the hostel authorities and breach of hostel rules shall liable to fine, suspension or removal from the hostel.
  • Students should not patronize peddlers, dhobis unless they have permission from the hostel authorities. Generally no unauthorized person will be allowed to enter the hostel premises.
  • Before leaving for home during vacation, students must lock the room and leave the keys with the hostel authorities.

Computer Lab


The Institute has a well furnished computer lab where all the computers are networked through Local Area Network (LAN). Students are encouraged to use educational CD-ROMs which enhance their self learning ability.

Games & Sports


Recreation through sports is an integral feature of the institution. The practice of organizing outdoor events in cricket, football, hockey, road races, and cycling is routine. The campus boasts a splendid playground spread over lush green acres, spanning over 10 acres of land. It features tracks, courts, cricket pitches, and offers over half a dozen games, electrifying the atmosphere.
Students can also avail themselves of the gym facilities within the campus. In addition to Table Tennis, Chess, Carrom, Kho Kho, Long Jump, and Volleyball, other facilities are available, all overseen by qualified Physical Education Instructors. Moreover, the Trust also runs a College of Physical Education offering a 2-year B.P.Ed course.

College Canteen


The college operates a highly commendable cafeteria, maintaining high standards of hygiene in its food offerings, all at very reasonable prices for both students and employees. It provides a variety of meals, snacks, and beverages.
